1. TFT (Budget-Level LCD Replacement)

A basic, entry‑level TFT screen that’s the most affordable. Offers functional display but has limited viewing angles and less vibrant colours compared to the original PLS LCD. Ideal only if you’re extremely price-sensitive. 

2. INCELL LCD Replacement

Combines LCD and touch sensor into a thinner, single-layer design. Provides better brightness, sharper colour response, and improved touch sensitivity compared to basic TFT. A solid mid-tier choice that’s more reliable than budget parts. 

3. OEM / Original Service‑Pack Screen

Exact same screen type and quality Samsung uses in A06 production. Excellent colour accuracy, brightness and touch fidelity. Retains factory-level display performance; best for long-term reliability and warranty safety. 

4. Foreign OLED or AMOLED Adaption (Rare)

Although the A06 shipped with an LCD screen, some aftermarket sellers offer OLED upgrades. These deliver deeper blacks, richer colours and lower power usage—but compatibility and installation are less certain. 

5. Full Display Assembly vs. Digitizer‑Only

A complete assembly includes the screen, touch digitizer, and frame mounted together. Easier to install (especially for pros) and typically ensures better alignment and adhesive bond. Separate LCD and digitizer parts exist but require more technical expertise. 

6. Certified Samsung Authorized Service Replacement

Official service centres (e.g. Samsung SmartCare) use genuine Samsung parts and certified technicians. Often includes labor warranty (like 90 days) and may bundle minor parts (sometimes battery) for optimal safety. Turnaround is typically 1‑3 working days. 

7. Independent Repair Shop – OEM Screen Option

Many reputable third-party shops (e.g. in Nairobi) offer original OEM A06 screens with a warranty (commonly 6–12 months), fast service (often within an hour), and competitive pricing (approx. KSh 3,999 to 4,499, or ~£50–£55). 

8. Common Reasons for Replacing the Screen

Signs include cracked glass, blank or black screen, coloured vertical lines, black “ink” spots, unresponsive touchscreen or erratic ghost touches. Even if the glass is intact, these symptoms often point to display issues that warrant replacement.
